
Overall aims and objectives - the objectives of the Trust are to 'advance public education in all aspects of the design, building, function, maintenance and operation of steam and other engines, plant, apparatus and equipment and in particular engines made by Robey of Lincoln, and to this end to acquire, restore, operate, preserve and display for the benefit of the public steam vehicles and other historic engines, etc, especially items of Robey manufacture.
Why the community needs usThrough preservation and restoration of historic steam artefacts we educate the public on the industrial heritage of this country and provide some training opportunities for local people by helping us in our preservation work.
Our impact on the communityPeople directly involved learn and develop new skils such as painting, basic metalworking, welding, grinding, operating steam engines as well as learning something of the history of steam power and how it works.
