HCSA provides activities for 1500 local residents of all ages with the Hampton Community. The facility was opened in 2001 and is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. The facility is managed on a lease agreement until 2023. The HCSA currently football, tennis, netball, running and fitness. Hampton FC (19 teams 300 players coaches and managers), Yaxley Runners(150 members), Hampton Netball teams (52 members). There is disabled sports provision events e.g. blind football have been introduced
Why the community needs usThe HCSA through a lease agreement with Peterborough City Council provides affordable high high quality sports facilities to the Hampton Population.More than 1500 residents of all ages use the facility 7 days a week. The dedicated group of volunteers manage the facility providing opportunities for multi sports to be played across the Astro, Hardcourt area and outdoor pitches areas.The HCSA is in its 10th year and many thousands of people have experienced the high quality low cost facilities.
Our impact on the community1500 residents play sports at Hampton. This includes disabled sport. In the last 10 years the Football club has grown from 4 teams in 2003 to 19, the netball has grown from 1 team to 4 including a youth section. The Yaxley runners hosted by the HCSA has now 150 members and recently started a junior and Youth section.The Tennis club is thriving as more players use the facility at weekends. The HCSA has received colectively and individually awards from Living Sports and ET for community success.
