We provide pre-vocational training and education to adults with learning disabilities via a range of enabling activities promoting a more independent lifestyle.Training is built around the needs of each individual client via Person Centred Planning which is a 'live' document and will reflect the changing needs of each client. We have a Community Shop which is open to the public and run by our clients.
Why the community needs us
Our aim is to remove barriers, raise self esteem and confidence of service users, involve parents/carers in their development and encourage local employers to consider offering employment to our clients.Our clients will be able to take part more fully in the wider community within Calderdale, and will be able to contribute both financially and socially to an already rich and diverse local population.
Our impact on the community
Our clients will be able to live in a more independent way and be less reliant on carers and family members. Employment chances will improve with the skills they are learning and this will improve confidence and self esteem.
