The People's Orchestra offers all members of the community from any background, who have a passion for playing an instrument and who have possibly had to give up their instruments from a lack of opportunity, to play with them. The players self-fund the orchestra, but unfortunately that means that some talented musicians are unable to join. We need your help to allow those on low income to join and continue enjoying music. Please make a donation, no matter how big or small. Thank you.
Why the community needs us
The People's Orchestra aims to bring music to old and new audiences. This is done through the use of film music to attract traditional music lovers and to help bring music to people who may never have encountered a traditional orchestra before, or may be intimidated by the perceived exclusivity of orchestral music.
