We are a community of ordinary people, from all walks of life, learning to follow Jesus Christ. We aim to provide a caring environment in a society that is increasingly fragmentary, finding ways of showing God's love in a practical way, by serving the local community.
Why the community needs usWe provide support to vulnerable people within the community, especially those who are homeless or in unstable accommodation and people living with or recovering from mental health issues. We provide food parcels, furniture and household goods we also help in practical ways like decorating. Youth & childrens activities are held regularly and everyone is welcome at craft sessions, art workshops and the twice weekly Refresh cafe mornings.
Our impact on the communityIn 2011 over 52 food parcels were given to people in need and furniture was delivered to 45 families in and around the Wells area. The Vineyard Centre was open twice each week for anyone to pop in for coffee, homemade cake, support and friendship. During the first year of the Garden project over 20 people have enjoyed regular activity of gardening, farming and cooking, making friends and learning new skills.
