This team was set up as a tribute to a local football coach who lost his battle with cancer in 2011. Some of the lads that he coached and some he wanted to coach formed this team who now regularly play in the local Sunday league and organize charity events like matches, bingos, tournaments, fun days, volunteering etc. and have recently been awarded an 'impact on young people in the community award' from the local housing association. So far we have donated almost £4000 to local groups in need.

Our benefit to the community is that we have now become role models in our local community, we have raised much needed funds for local groups and individuals. We have also shown that through sport you can achieve unity and show that young people are not always how the press convey them. We have helped build the gap between the young and the older generation within our community.

Some of the players in our team have not had the best starts in life but through this project they have realized that they have ore potential than they believed. Also as young men we have found that at times we have been able to help each other and that sometimes the best thing is to help other people with their needs.
