WHC is a registered charity founded in 2007 as a community project of Wycombe churches, serving around 500 adult homeless or vulnerably housed people annually. We believe that every individual has worth and deserves a fresh start, no matter what their situation. So WHC's staff provide advice and support to help people get or keep accommodation and achieve a stable lifestyle. In addition, around 400 committed volunteers provide day sessions, tenancy support and the Wycombe Winter Night Shelter.

WHC works with anyone who has a housing-related need, including those who are sofa surfing, squatting, sleeping in their car, facing eviction, seeking advice or recently housed after a period of homelessness - as well as those who regularly sleep rough. In recent years, the numbers approaching WHC have increased greatly.

Each year, WHC provides support to over 500 people, and is the lead agency in around 80 instances of helping people find or keep accommodation. Other outcomes are achieved relating to health, purposeful activity, resolving benefits issues and tackling harmful behaviours.
