Ykids delivers a range of services to meet the needs of children and young people living in Bootle. We operate in 6 main areas: Small group children's and youth work, community projects, schools work, Enterprise, training and young people's leadership and faith. We believe that every child has the ability to be great despite their circumstances and we work to unlock that potential, help them to believe in themselves and make good life choices.

We love Bootle! Our projects focus on investing in children and young people so they can go out and reach their full potential and make a difference in their community. Our young people's leadership programmes train young people to be community leaders and encourages them to volunteer - either in Ykids or in other community organisations. We also deliver social action projects such as mural painting and park clean ups in partnership with young people and community residents.

We recently completed a survey with our children and young people. We found that as a result of engaging with Ykids ... 70% of children and young people said they were learning new things, 55% said they had reduced their risky behaviour, 50% said that they felt more connected to their community and 65% said that they felt more valued and important.
