Northampton | Community Support & Development
To improve and enhance the lives of vulnerable women, young people and children living in Northamptonshire. We particularly focus on education and re-employment, health and personal well-being by providing training, skills nurturing and development and through sports and recreational activities. We create a platform for discussions among women and young people of all cultures on issues that affect their welfare.
Why the community needs usOur support and training helps the women we have worked with rebuild their self confidence and return to work after long-term unemployment. We offer hand-skills training to create goods from which they can earn a living such as fabrics, jewellery etc. We have introduced young people to sports and vegetable growing, providing stimulating interests and skills that helps keep them 'off the streets'. We also offer help to vulnerable families in response to Police and agency referrals.
Our impact on the communityOur work gives hope to women and their families when they are in crisis. We help them get back on the right track by empowering them with new skills and opportunities to find work to support themselves and their families.
