The Brue Larder is a food bank that also delivers. People in Bruton and its immediate surrounds who need it receive a weekly grocery pack for as long as required. The Larder is run by volunteers.

The Brue Larder offers a ‘no questions’ service: unlike some other food banks there is no means test and no need for referral from elsewhere. It is intended for those struggling with the cost of living. If you need help, or want to help, please contact bruelarder@brutontowncouncil.com

So far the project has largely been funded by donations in kind, as well as by a donation from South Somerset district council. The project currently has £12000 in reserve. As with other foodbanks, we are currently facing an increase in demand and are likely to need to start buying in food, so we would like to increase our resilience.

Good company receives and will pay out the funds. The company will not apply any management or other charges to donations. In the unlikely event of the funds not being needed, good company will allocate them to other charitable causes in Bruton (such as the Bruton Supports Ukraine).
