The objects of the Company are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education and participation in the arts including, without limitation, visual arts, performing arts and digital arts in mid and North Wales and the Borders area. Our mission is to inspire and involve people in community arts, investing in and nurturing creativity.

Why the community needs us
Arts Connection – Cyswllt Celf is an independent participatory arts charity and have provided high quality participatory arts projects in a wide range of artistic mediums since 1994. Our work with schools, children, youth, the learning disabled and the wider community offers increased involvement and participation and a welcoming bilingual doorway into the arts. We work with all ages and abilities in a range of art forms across Powys and Wrexham and the borders.

We have 5 creative programmes, which include Arts for All, aimed at older people and families, Learning by Art, aimed at children and young people, Art of Wellbeing, aimed at the learning disabled and others with physical or mental health issues, Wild @ Art, which has a focus on sustainability and the environment and Skills & Thrills, which looks at developing participatory arts practice.

We support participants to experience some or all of the following benefits:- A greater sense of ownership over their learning- Increased motivation- Improved self-esteem- Improved confidence- Greater achievement- Improved relationships with peers and others- Increased self-efficacy

Our impact on the community
We deliver 400+ workshops per year, delivering over 6000+ participant places. 100+ people worked or volunteered for us. We also deliver a number of events, exhibitions and film screenings each year.
