Over the next 3 - 6 months we will be turning the empty warehouse into several partitioned areas, firstly by making temporary walls and then when funding comes through by making more permanent structures. Some of these areas will hold artists enclaves, one will hold a theatre, another sound studios, yet another CARC and there will be display areas, chill out spaces and more. We need help with all this building, moving equipment etc and we need funding for this to happen in a reasonable time span

Arts Gateway has never had a permanent home, moving from site to site with 28 days notice. At Kiln Farm this will change. A 12 year lease means that we can make long term plans to create an arts hub that will work for a larger section of the arts community in Milton Keynes. With money, time and effort we can turn an empty 22,00 sq. ft. industrial unit into a place with 100+ spaces for artists working in every field from photography to circus, cartoons to music.

Our aim is to have an active arts hub that benefits the community of Milton Keynes in a sustained manner. This hub will offer spaces to artists who cannot afford commercial premises normally and as they become part of a community it will cross pollinate artistic projects and develop new artists in a nurturing environment.
