Stay off the Streets (Staysafe)

Stay Off the Streets is a component of our homelessness work with multiple projects designed to offer PURPOSE, ACTIVITY and FRIENDSHIP to those who are coming off the streets. Our aim is to help not only stay off the streets but also thrive as they find new direction for their lives.

STAYSAFE is a new and innovative day-time provision for ex-rough sleepers who want to be active, part of a team, and feel that they have purpose. It is also providing a new community for the individual where they can build healthy and forward-looking relationships of trust and ongoing support. Each participant will have a bespoke plan to fulfill their own aspirations and plans, individual access professional support workers and opportunities to develop new skills and access training/certificates/courses. Staysafe provides a safe space to tell their story, share their lived experience, and develop teamwork and life skills as they end each session in preparing and sharing a meal together.

We are also launching a Training Centre, helping ex-rough sleepers to access training, certificates and courses, including gardening and woodworking skills provided by our projects.

1) Team member at our new Staysafe facility - offering Purpose, Activity and Friendship for those who are coming off the streets. 2) Team member for our training offer including gardening and wood-working skills. 3) Team member for our Doorstop Shop & Cafe on Saturdays 9 am til 12 pm (online shop featuring products made by ex-rough sleepers as well as donations) with all profits go into helping ex-rough sleepers start a new life.
