Free Cakes for Kids Hackney is a community service for families who find it difficult to provide a birthday cake for their child. The cakes are baked by volunteers from the local area. Our service is free, friendly and confidential - put simply, we match families in need with passionate local amateur bakers. We work with local organisations in Hackney that support vulnerable children and families and make referrals to our service.

FCFK Hackney is a not-for-profit organisation. All money raised goes directly to providing birthday cakes to children who would otherwise miss out. Your donation makes a child feel special and helps alleviate the stress felt by families who cannot give their child a birthday cake. Any financial support (however small) is gratefully received. With your donation we can build FCFK Hackney into a bigger and better service that will benefit more children and families within our community.

FCFK Hackney was founded in August 2011 and we now have around 50 bakers and a team of committed volunteers who support our work. We have been able to provide a free homemade birthday cake to every family that has requested one. Not one child has missed out. Our support is free, friendly and confidential. The response that we have had from families who have used our service has been enormously positive; a homemade birthday cake can make a huge different in otherwise difficult circumstances.
