Our dedication and purpose is clear. Our curriculum effectively draws together the needs of the children with the desires of their families and work-place requirements. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience at The Collett School and regularly support other schools and businesses in developing their practical skills of working with children and young people with learning disabilities.

We have a wonderful community at The Collett School. Our children are fantastic, our parents brilliant and our staff are wonderful. Our school was built in 1964 and in reflection and consideration of the needs of the children over the last 50 years, we're looking to the next half century. We are built on a hill, in cramped buildings with poor disabled access and not enough space for effectively supporting the increasingly complex needs of our pupils that join the school.

We have an inspirational and exciting vision including the creation of functional, eco-treehouse classrooms to support learning in a creative environment. Because we genuinely believe our children benefit from a curriculum that intertwines life skills, functional skills and academic learning to secure independence, we intend to build a three-bedroomed Life-Skills House pupils will be supported to budget and pay bills, have overnight stays, maintain the property and cook healthy meals.
