Global Generation is an educational charity dedicated to unlocking the potential of children and young people living in urban areas by bringing the magic of nature directly to those less likely to experience the outdoors.

Our community gardens are co-created with local communities. This process fosters a sense of connection to the land and environment around us, as well as to each other.

The gardens take a circular economy approach by using recycled materials that would otherwise end up going to landfill. They are community spaces that provoke curiosity, showcase what’s possible, and give local people the opportunity to come together and create a new story for themselves and their communities.

In 2024 we will get access to our first permanent site! This is an opportunity for everyone involved to grow a 1000 year vision for nature, wildlife and people in the heart of Kings Cross!

How it works:

Leave your personalised mark on our new community garden by adding your initials to a shake or by stamping a brick from a choice of various designs. These materials will be used in the construction of our new classroom, community kitchen and office, meaning you will be able to leave a permanent legacy for future generations to come.
