Newcastle Women's Aid provides specialist support services to women and girls who have been affected by domestic abuse.
Our HOPE project provides a range of specialist domestic abuse support interventions, which are flexible, not time limited and available at different stages in a survivor’s journey.
HELP – OPTIONS – PROTECTION – EMPOWERMENT
Support includes:
Telephone Advice and Support Line, Domestic Abuse Flexible Support, Domestic Abuse Group Programmes, Recovery Support, Training and Awareness Raising. We aim to reduce incidents of domestic abuse and to empower women and children to live free from fear.
Why the community needs us
The need for our services is identified by women and girls who access our services. We work alongside a range of services and agencies including children's social care, health, police, education and housing to ensure women and their children have access to essential services.
Our impact on the community
Our expertise and knowledge is a key factor in achieving sustained engagement levels with clients across all areas of our service provision. Specialist support services increase the chance of women and girls staying safe and achieving positive outcomes.
