SMILE Connect understands the difficulties of lone parenting. Our aim is to support parents & children with their practical and emotional needs. We hold a variety of sessions. SPORT is our running club. We recognise the benefits of exercise on well-being & know it can be difficult to be motivated. Childcare is provided to enable parents to run. Sparkle* is our self-esteem course for children. Saturday Morning SMILE are our monthly sessions. Our Outreach Worker can give 1:1 support.

We help build community, networking & linking individuals to each other or other support agencies. Friendships are made and healthy life choices promoted.

Many of the parents supported by SMILE report through quotes & questionnaires an improvement in their self-esteem and general well-being and attribute this to connecting with SMILE. We are in the process of streamlining our support, including use of Charitylog database, which will enable to produce statistics using ladder outcomes to quantify these results.
