Why the community needs usSouthend Judo Club works closely with local Youth Clubs and Youth Offending Organisations to provide judo lessons for youngsters between 14 - 24 yrs old. Due to our track record we were approached to organise these sessions. Once a year we hold the Southend International Judo Championships (see our projects) which provides an extension to our judo lessons, it provides a goal and a showcase for all judo players locally.
Our impact on the communitywe have seen an increased number of youngsters from local schools and youth club partaking in our regular club sessions. They are interested and want to learn...nothing is too much!
