Tennis2Be is a not-for-profit charity promoting equality, sports, community and education. Tennis is at our heart, but WE ARE FAR MORE! We have a passion for EQUALITY, bringing happiness and a positive impact to our diverse users.
Tennis2Be strives for equality through tennis. They use tennis as a vehicle to bring communities together, whilst making tennis an inclusive and accessible sport. The charity actively encourages social interaction, well-being and happiness on a “level court” through tennis and beyond.

Our educational arm provides courses in administration, bookkeeping, literacy, numeracy and social media by training users and disabled young people in these disciplines and providing gainful work experience placements for them within the charity and with our partners. Tennis2Be was recently awarded an adapted minibus which is used as a classroom on wheels, library, learning center and food delivery during Covid. The minibus is also hired out to companies for meetings, special events, coffee morning and more.
Tennis2Be took the decision to assist the community in other ways since the pandemic began. To date 450,000kg of food has been distributed.

Why the community needs us
Tennis2Be works with a variety of different groups within the community, most noticeably children, adults, disabled, disadvantaged and refugee groups, to spread the joy of tennis! We run a number of successful programmes across London, engaging with grassroots communities so that everyone feels welcome on a tennis court! We also provide tennis lovers a chance to meet like-minded people, and receive tips and pointers from passionate coaches, to help continue to improve their game.

Our impact on the community
We are dedicated to improving health and well-being through sports and education. We aim to reduce obesity, encourage people to be active in the community, increase confidence and teach tennis as a lifetime skill! We also want to bring communities together and improve social engagement whilst decreasing isolation in the community. As well as running courses, we have the Craic Cup (annualy in June) a free event where people at any level can get together and play tennis! Register online now!
