The Mentoring Lab Community C.I.C. exists for the young people others often overlook—those growing up on housing estates with limited access to safe spaces, role models, or opportunities beyond their postcode.

We work with young people facing multiple barriers:

-lack of social capital,

-restricted aspirations shaped by their environment,

-mental health challenges exacerbated by isolation and

-limited networks to help them navigate life, education and career pathways.

Many come from well intended families caught in cycles of poverty, where the path forward isn't clear and resources are stretched thin.

Why We're Different

As a community-based organisation deeply rooted in the areas we serve, we meet young people where they are...literally. We deliver mentoring on housing estates and in local spaces accessible to those who need us most.

We're agile, responsive, and we know our young people by name, not by number.

Through free 1:1 mentoring, career guidance projects, and school holiday programmes, we create safe spaces where young people can reflect, explore, fail without judgment, and develop the skills to succeed.

We help them build social currency, expand their aspirations, and connect with opportunities they didn't know existed.

Our Impact

Young people tell us they've improved their social skills, self-esteem, and understanding of career pathways. For those without access to safe outdoor spaces, our programmes provide vital support for mental wellbeing and reignite positive attitudes toward learning. They make friends safely, build confidence, and begin to see futures they can believe in.

What's Next

We're launching www.mentoringforyouth.com, a digital platform to scale our impact, mentor more youth across borders, and equip other community groups with proven mentoring tools.

Your support doesn't just fund a programme, it invests in breaking cycles, creating equity, and opening doors that transform lives.
