It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Director, Alan Wright, following a period of illness.

Alan's dedication and commitment to Trowbridge Town Hall were evident in everything he did as our Director. His tireless work to secure the future of this community asset was invaluable. Although he is no longer with us, his vision remains, and we are committed to continuing the work he started.

The staff and Trustees will work together to ensure that Alan’s legacy is one he’d be proud of. We’d like to invite anyone who feels they can, to help us achieve this. As Alan wasn’t at the end of his fundraising work, it would make a huge difference if anyone felt able to make either a one-off or regular donation in his name.

Your support will help us continue the projects Alan cared so deeply about and ensure that Trowbridge Town Hall remains a vital hub for our community.

If you would like to make a donation, you can do so here. Thank you for helping us keep his vision alive.

Trowbridge Town Hall was opened in 1889 for "the benefit of the residents of the town for ever". In 2012, a Trust was formed to secure the long term future of the building and to ensure that it continues to benefit the people of Trowbridge. Our aim is to reach as many people as possible, by delivering what the people of the town would like to see in their building, making the Town Hall a vibrant hub for the community. 131 years ago, the Town Hall was opened for the residents of Trowbridge. We've ambitious plans to help it last another 131 years. Your contribution will help secure that future.
