Huddersfield Literature Festival (HLF) is an award-winning 10-day festival held annually in the West Yorkshire town each Spring. A blended Festival of 50+ digital, outdoor and venue-based events held online and at accessible spaces champions accessibility, diversity and under-represented groups.
Its organisers are proud to showcase emerging writers and artists alongside major names, the festival offers a diverse programme of author talks, workshops, discussion topics, performance poetry, multi-arts performances, wellbeing projects, events for young people and family friendly event, many of which are free.
Their many activities also include supporting the local LGBTQ+ community through their ‘Polari Up North’ event, working closely with Huddersfield Town Football Club to stage events with their supporters and hosting events for neurodiverse children and adults and projects for SEN families.
