CCT's motto is 'Strong Heart, Healthy Community'. Our founding documents list 5 purposes as follows: managing community land for the benefit of the community; improving recreational facilities and activities; advancing community development; advancing community education about its environment, culture, heritage and history; and enhancing environmental protection.

Why the community needs us
CCT brings together all sections of the community and aims to improve the quality of life for everyone. Our vision is that Culbokie is a friendly and community-spirited village where everyone has the opportunity to participate in village life and where everyone feels safe and supported at all stages of life,

Our impact on the community
We are planning to develop a new ‘Culbokie Hub’ on land in the middle of the village purchased by CCT in 2015 under Community Right to Buy. This will be the focus for indoor and outdoor community activities and services. It will include a café, volunteer base, toilets, a health room and business units - plus a new village green with a community orchard, wildflower meadows and play spaces. For more infomation see our project page or web site.

We run the popular monthly Culbokie Community Market, we promote recreation in Culbokie Woods, we run a wide range of communtiy events, from community orienteering to quiz nights, we keep the village clean and tidy and we run the village History Group. We are also working with Sustrans to develop a new active travel route through the village.
