Hi All
After losing my Dad to a brain aneurysm in June, I've been looking to find a way that I can hopefully make a difference and help people that are going through this in the future. After searching I came across HBA support, and I can really relate to what they're trying to achieve and the difference they're trying to make in the area of brain aneurysm's. A brief bit on HBA below:
Hereditary Brain Aneurysm Support is here to support people and families affected by hereditary brain aneurysms, raising awareness, supporting people affected by the condition and increasing research and understanding within the clinical community. This link shows what they have achieved in the past 12 months https://www.hbasupport.org/post/hereditary-brain-aneurysm-support-2024-review
So after considering what it is that I can do, i've decided to do 12 challenges over 12 months that are going to test me, as well as an overarching 12 month challenge of running 1000km throughout 2025. I'll be posting a list of the challenges before January, and will have a dedicated social media page for updates throughout the challenges that I'll post a link to as well. I'm also looking for friends, family and anyone else that wants to, to help with the challenges throughout the year and join in where they can. The main aim for doing this is to help raise awareness of the charity, of what an aneurysm is, and that help is available. Finally it is also a way to do something in memory of my Dad, Steven Shotter, who was an absolute legend, that we miss every single day.
