The West Sussex Rural Mobile Youth Trust tries to keep a fully-functioning vehicle that, not only keeps running, but also is up-to-date with the needs of young people. To enable the Trust to do this, they aim to replace the vehicle every 10 years at a cost of around £90,000 Our next vehicle is due in 2020. Our aim is to raise £10,000 a year.
Why they need our serviceHorsham and Chichester districts are largely rural areas with very little in the way transport and provision for young people. Having a mobile youth provision gives an opportunity for young people to access services and build social skills that is important to their development.
Plan and expected resultsTo keep delivering quality rural mobile youth work with an up-to-date provision to rural isolated young people who have very little or no young provision or transport in the community.
