We're joining a 24 hour swimming relay over the weekend of 29 and 30 January 2022 to raise money to support the next steps in saving Jubilee Swimming Pool.
For 85 years Jubilee Swimming Pool in Knowle, Bristol has been a vital leisure facility for its local community. It's the pool we learnt to swim in when we were 4 years old, we spent many a birthday party, Saturday morning and swimming gala there over the years. Now the swimming pool is under serious threat from closure with Bristol City Council proposing to shut the doors forever in March 2022.
We'll be swimming continuously for an hour, from 11pm–midnight on Saturday, to take part in the 24-hour swim relay in which someone will be in the water at all times for 24 hours.
Your donation will help Jubilee Pool access legal advice, accountancy, marketing and communications, funding, specialist structural surveys, as well as help to develop their business plan.
