They say all the best songs took only half an hour to craft (Dylan being a case in point) - so I’m gonna put the theory to the test in a mad 24 hours of songwriting to write 24 songs, to raise funds for RTProjects who use art to save lives.
I’ve had the good fortune of getting to know RTProjects through my work and can honestly say every town should have an RTProjects. They create a unique space of belonging and hope for those going through a rough patch, and I’ve seen first hand the difference art can make.
So, over the weekend of 2-4 July I will be camping out in the RTProjects' studios and will spend 24 hours with my guitar and living under their gazebo and will write 24 songs and let’s hope something is blowin’ in the wind…!
Any donations no matter how big or small are much appreciated and all go to RTProject’s Run to the Sun fundraiser.
I hope to raise £1200, which is £50 for each of 24 songs written. So if you want one of those songs to be about a topic of your choosing - whether your cat, someone you love, a cause your passionate about! - any donations above £100 (or pooled together to make £100 across your friends/family) I promise to select a topic of your choosing!
Thank you!
