We're getting ready to jump, bounce, slide and swing through the World's biggest and best Inflatable 5k Obstacle Course.
For our family this is a challenge. Some of us don't usually move much (me!), for others the thought of a busy event with so many unknowns and uncertainties on the day causes anxiety and worry, so this is a big ask but we will do it together. I have a feeling our 8 year old will be leading the way and finish ahead of the rest of us.
We are taking on this challenge in aid of SAFE! Support for Young People Affected by Crime. SAFE! provides support to children and families around the Thames Valley who have been affected by crime or abuse. Over 50% of the young people they support have experienced sexual abuse and/or domestic violence.
This charity is close to my heart, I previously worked at SAFE! for 5 years and recently rejoined as a fundraiser taking on this first challenge event of the year together with my family. The work my colleagues do is amazing. The support and help they give to children, young people and parents is invaluable and so appreciated and needed. In a world where there is so much sadness, suffering, crime and abuse, SAFE! is a beacon of hope. A light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
I hope you can support me and my family in this challenge and donate something towards the important support services that SAFE! provides.
Thank you
Josephine and family (including 3 slightly grumpy boys)
