A 22 km hike for a group of Sea Cadets with one aim: Fundraising to open the new unit building. An empty, brand new building towers over the current Sea Cadets hall which is now too small! Meeting twice a week, supporting the local community and events in the cpaital, the Sea Cadets at Sunbury and Walton can't use the new hall for lack of some last basic needs like furniture and fixings.
So close to opening, years after the first planning permission was granted, Cadet TJ and a band of others are going to brave Box Hill, Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill in a single, tiring day.
The Sea Cadet Corps, the Royal Navy-sponsored youth charity has been in Sunbury and Walton since the 40s and the current hall since 1966 – so you can see why it's time for a new building!
Please donate generously to get this project over the line!
Thanks 🌟
