Coast2Coast 2018

“We are plain quiet folk, and I have no use for adventures. Nasty, disturbing, and uncomfortable things.” Unfortunately, we haven't taken on these wise words from Bilbo Baggins, and the three of us will be joining a group from EY's Newcastle Office to cycle from Whitehaven to Tynemouth over three days. We are doing this to raise money for Newcastle Women's Aid, who provide specialist support services to women and girls who have been affected by domestic abuse. Support includes practical and emotional support, Domestic Abuse Floating Support, one-to-one work and group work, which focuses on recovery and staying safe. They aim to reduce incidents of domestic abuse and to empower women and children to live free from fear. EY will match fund the money that we raise, and as our training has been pretty much non-existent we are hoping that your donations (and a large dose of stubbornness) will motivate us to keep pedaling.
