A marathon for Zink
A marathon for Zink's users .. 
Zink, the winner in 2025 of a Centre for Social Justice "Charity Oscar" for its innovative work, does much more than run High Peak Food Bank in Buxton. It empowers people and families to build a better future, including finding work, no matter what they've been through. It provides them with advice, support and training and offers a wide range of fun and confidence-building social activities.
For some of Zink's service users, just coping with life can be a marathon, and constantly raising money to support them is certainly a marathon for Zink!
Organisations like the Centre for Social Justice and The National Lottery do help fund Zink... but only because Zink can show that, year after year, members of the local community are also prepared to give Zink time and money.
And that's where I come in! I'm subjecting myself to the agony and ecstasy of running 26.2 miles around the streets of Manchester over several hours in April 2026. My "Marathon for Zink" will be much less of a challenge than Zink and many of its service users face every year so, if they can do it, so can I!
As a Trustee of Zink, I see first hand just what a difference we can make and how much our help means to Zink's users. Any sponsorship you could kindly offer would not only help keep Zink and its users going, it would give me the boost I need to take on my marathon - and the long hours of training beforehand!
