2020 was a hell of a year thanks to Coronavirus
Lockdown caused my anxiety to take a massive hit and I developed a mild agoraphobia making it a massive struggle emotionally to leave the house.
My eldest son and I were both diagnosed with ADHD over the same period of time - my middle son also has ADHD and it looks very ikely the youngest son has it as well.
Charities have struggled to fundraise.
All these occurrences in a year!
Since the start of our middle son’s ADHD recognition fight we have had support from ADHD Solutions in Leicester and they have been wonderful whenever I have called them and I want to give something back.
To try and help me start overcoming my anxiety I am going to aim to walk, outside and away from home, for 45 miles in April. That may not sound a lot but this is someone who struggles to get out of the car on the school run even though I know I have to. That's a mile and a half a day of a proper walk - not the school run!
To motivate me I am going to aim to raise some money for ADHD Solutions at the same time.
If you are happy to and are able to I would love to be able to hit £450 by the end of April - that's £10 per mile. Even if you can sponsor me for just one mile that would get me going.
I know a lot of people are fundraising at the moment so completely understand if you are unable or unwilling to do sponsor me - just send me some motivation.
I missed 1st April due to personal reasons but I am determined to hit both my mileage and fundraising targets.
