So, having never run a marathon, or even a half before, I committed to running the Manchester Marathon 2 weeks ago. My training schedule was hindered with niggles and to be honest, I opted against a donate page pre marathon to avoid having to explain my absence from the finish line.
Yesterday, I gave it my best go and crossed the line in 5hrs 19mins. I am obviously proud as punch and now want to take the opportunity to raise a few pounds for a charity I feel is rewarding. Fundamentally, RASASC provide counselling services to victims of rape and I ask you all reading this to consider donating to help women who have found themselves victim of this abhorrent crime.
