I am running the Bath Half marathon for a charity called Off the Record BANES, which is a young person’s charity based in my hometown that supports young people with a range of free services including counselling, listening support, youth participation, advocacy, support for care leavers and a LGBTQ+ focused youth group.
The reason I have chosen this charity is because as a young person I accessed their support and was fortunate to complete my apprenticeship with them a few years back which gave me the opportunity to start my career and move to London, without the support of OTR I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am! It is important to me that other young people get the chance to benefit from such an impactful service.
