The volunteer team at the Newport Cycle Hub meet twice a week to get donated bikes ready to give away, and to carry out basic safety repairs to people's bicycles at a weekly drop-in.

The volunteer team has given away over 1,400 bikes to newly arrived asylum seekers as an essential form of transport, and has completed over 2,100 other repairs to people's bicycles to keep them cycling.

Our specialist tools are now a bit work and we would like to replenish our tool stock by buying new tools, as well as stocking up on consumables such as oil and GT85 lubricating spray.

Thanks to some generous support, we are already well on our way - can you chip in a fiver or whatever you can afford to help us keeping fixing bikes in Newport, keeping people cycling which is good for them and the environment.

We project also runs bookable secure cycle storage in the city centre - www.spokesafe.com/newport
