Blind baseballers on the road to the World Cup – please help…
British Blind Baseball, formed in 2024, proactively supports, guides and promotes blind and partially sighted people to engage in, and participate in, the thrilling, inclusive, and bespoke adapted sport.
British Blind Baseball works in partnership with the British Baseball Federation(BBF) who are the national governing body for baseball. BBF also govern the Great Britain national teams including GB’s Blind Baseball team. There is however no funding available for these teams.
A team of 10 visually impaired players and 5 sighted coaches and support staff have been selected to represent Team GB in the upcoming International Cup 2024.
As there is no external financial support British Blind Baseball need to raise £5,310 to ease the financial burden on players who have the honour of representing their country.
Funds raised will all go to the cost of hotels, travel, Transport, food, entry fees and playing and training kit.
Would you be willing to support us by making a donation or sponsoring the GB Blind Baseball Team and British Blind Baseball?
In return they can offer you advertisement on their website and social media platforms. They can also offer a personal message from the players offering their gratitude for your support as well as a team photo.
Our very successful national team competed in the inaugural WBSC International cup 2022 coming away with a silver medal, and in 2023 our national team took Bronze in the WBSC European championships.
Now in 2024 we are delighted to announce we will be representing the country in the International cup being held here in the UK, at the National centre of Baseball at Farnham park Slough. This is a huge honour for all involved to compete against the worlds best.
