Our main task is to safeguard the individual, ensure their mental and physical well-being and then provide them with direction and advice on improving their situation to help them back into safe society. This includes accompaniment to accommodation, prisons, court/hearings, interviews, medicals, therapy and anti-abuse sessions, anything which will help them improve their situation. £8 pays for an experienced worker to accompany a client to an appointment.
Why they need our serviceManchester has higher rates of domestic violence and abuse compared to the national average. In 2013, for every 100,000 10-17 year olds in the population of Manchester, 731.9 received their first reprimand, warning or conviction. This is significantly higher than the rate for the North West (428.6 per 100,000) and the rate for England.
