In 2016, I ran the Classic Quarter - 44 mile ultra marathon on the south west coastal path. Now, 10 years later, i'm going to take on the challenge again. Aiming to push my fitness for my own personal mental & physical well being and this time, to raise vital funds for Cornwall Blood Bikes.

I’m proud to volunteer as a rider for Cornwall Blood Bikes, and be part of the team who provide a free out-of-hours courier service for the NHS and other healthcare providers across Cornwall. We transport essential medical items — blood, plasma, samples, and more — helping ensure patients receive urgent care when it matters most. Cornwall blood bikes are also proud to support Cornwall air ambulance with 'blood on board' by transporting vital blood from Royal Cornwall hospital to the air ambulance so they can have it on hand when attending critical incidents.

Cornwall Blood Bikes runs entirely on donations & volunteers — no funding from the NHS, no paid staff — so every pound truly makes a difference. Your support will help keep the bikes maintained, the fuel tanks full, and the service running smoothly for those who need it most.

The charity slogan is 'Riding for life' so I will be 'Running for life', taking this as a chance to raise some funds but also for myself as a motivation to push myself & my health & fitness goals.
