WE DID IT!!! We managed to travel the length of Land's End to John O'Groats in the month of June. Considering our original target was to raise £250, to raise over £1,500 plus gift aid is incredible. Thank you to every single person who has donated, or has seen our challenge and popped something in your local Foodbank donation bin. Special thanks to the anonymous donor who donated £500, whoever you are!

In April 2020, Glossopdale Foodbank provided a total of 240 food parcels. This is over four times as many parcels given out in April 2019.
Because of the dramatic increase in demand, Glossopdale Foodbank are no longer receiving sufficient food donations to meet demand, and they are having to purchase most of the food they are providing. So the Cookes have come up with a plan to help a little, and to perhaps get a bit fitter at the same time.
The Cookes will be propelling themselves 1,310km during the month of June to make you part with your hard earned cash. According to that trusty website Wikipedia, this is the shortest route you could travel from Land's End to John O'Groats. We will be walking, running, cycling and even toddling to inspire you to donate.
The team members are Margaret, Patrick, Philip, Rachel, Layla, Alex, Gosia, Benita and Oliver. Layla is only 2, so she is likely to be more of a hindrance than a help...
