Glosopdale Foodbank (C.I.O)  exists to make sure that there is adequate emergency food provision for people in the Glossopdale area when no other financial support is immediately available. Families and individuals are referred to us for help by professional organisations like Citizen's Advice, GPs, Social Services, housing and health support workers etc. We analyse the reasons people are using our service and make representations to relevant authorities to reduce the need for foodbanks.

Why the community needs us
We are a safety net - when someone has nowhere else to go to feed their family we are there to help. Because we accept referrals from professional organisations, we can be sure that our service users are getting the help they need to resolve the crisis they are in.

Our impact on the community
We have a team of around 50 volunteers and are supported by many others in the local community who give food at various donation points throughout Glossopdale. At the moment we provide around 40 emergency food parcels every week.
