The Great Get Together Iftaar will take place from 4.30pm on Sunday, 17 March 2024 at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone. Now in its eight year, this annual event seeks to create a sense of belonging and inclusion through its multi faith / multi community content that is emotionally and spiritually uplifting.

This year our theme is linking mind, body and soul focussing on the importance of good mental health through recitations, poetry, stories and songs. The event will end with a shared ‘Iftaar’ meal that is free to all attendees. The free iftaar meal costs around £3-4,000 and volunteers fund raise this through donations and sponsorships,

The Great Get Together Iftaar invites everyone to open the fast with Muslims during the blessed month of Ramadan. We are seeking donations towards the Iftaar meal and our social action to gift food hampers to support those in hardship.

The Great Get Together Iftaar invites all members of the community – people of no faith and all faiths are welcomed.

Through bringing communities together who do not normally mix, the event seeks to remind us that "we have far more in common than that which divides us".
