We are taking part in the Great North Run 2022 for the first time to raise money for our chosen charity "Together We" which aims to empower people to take control of their physical and mental wellbeing.
We chose this charity as we really believe the work they do is so so important!! At this time, so many people are facing the devastating impacts from COVID-19 and the cost of living on both their mental and physical health.
Working in the area of psychology, we have both dedicated our careers to supporting individuals mental health and wellbeing, so we are really passionate about this. We also understand the strain on services to be able to provide sufficient support. Charities like "Together We" are crucial in providing extra support to make sure people get the help they really need!
