Having been shocked and upset by the homelessness situation in London, I thought that I would try to help by raising money for the Upper Room, a not-for-profit organisation in London focused on helping vulnerable adults. This includes a whole host of projects which aim to alleviate poverty, reduce substance abuse, increase people employability, improve mental and physical well-being, to name but a few.
So, rather than just little me doing what I can by reaching into my own pocket, I thought it best to reach out to others and ask for support. So, if you can, please help me to help others this year, at a time when the temperature is dropping and people without a roof are getting cold and feel like they have no way to change this.
I will be running around London like a loon dressed as Father Christmas, with a bunch of other loons dressed in similar attire. I haven't ever ran 5K before, so I do feel a little crazy launching straight into it, but I know that with your help it'll be worth it.
