UR4Meals serves free evening meals to 60-120 homeless people as well as providing clothing, bedding, volunteer opportunities and support with health and housing. UR4Driving is an award-winning project which gives ex-offenders and young 'at risk' the motivation and requisite employability skills necessary to secure and sustain employment. UR4Jobs is a multilingual employment support service which provides personalised support and entry-level skills training to help people become job ready.
Why the community needs us
UR4Meals ensures the homeless get the help they need. UR4Driving transforms the lives of ex-offenders, and their families, by helping to remove their barriers to work. UR4Driving's work results in fewer victims of crime and significant financial savings to the criminal justice system which benefits the wider community. UR4Jobs reduces migrant workers' vulnerability to homelessness, anti-social behaviour and petty crime.
Our impact on the community
UR4Meals serves over 26,000 meals every year. Since 2010, 280 ex-offenders have obtained a licence through UR4Driving and 84% are in work, training or apprenticeships after getting their licence. Fewer than 30% have re-offended which is a remarkable achievement when compared to a national recidivism rate of approximately 60% within two years.
