I will be running in the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April (next month - yikes)! I wanted to help Cornwall Blood Bikes as they are an extremely deserving and hardworking charity. I know that running for a great cause on marathon day will motivate me when the going gets tough.

Cornwall Blood Bikes is a purely volunteer run charity operating "out of hours" Monday to Friday 5pm-7am and on 24 hours during weekends and bank holidays. CBB volunteers ride in all weather conditions, 365 days a year delivering urgent medical supplies; pathology samples, whole blood, platelets, medical notes, medical equipment, medication, donor breast milk and much more. CBB offer a professional, flexible and free service to our hospitals and hospices across Cornwall.

In 2023 CBB covered 212, 585 miles and completed 6,481 operational jobs. It is believed on average CBB save the NHS approx £300,000 a year in Cornwall alone. This free service receives no NHS or Government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of our local communities.
My husband Mark and my brother in law Ian both volunteer for Blood Bikes alongside many other riders, coordinators and committee members, all of these lovely people regularly give their time and energy to keep the charity running. I feel the least I can do is run 26.2 miles to raise some money, PLEASE  give whatever you can to help.

Thank You
