In memory of Jo McLaughlin.
Jo dedicated her career to working as a child psychiatrist at the Child and Family Therapy Unit on St John Street in Mansfield. She loved helping young people with their mental health difficulties and had a special interest in those on the autistic spectrum. After she retired she continued to support various charities and had wanted to work with Spectrum Wasp before she became unwell.
Spectrum WASP is a local charity based in Rainworth supporting children & young people on the autistic spectrum. We hope Jo's light, which illuminated the world, will live on in the work being done by Spectrum WASP.
With the generosity of Jo's friends and family, we will be funding a project to send out starter packs for the children and young people to grow their own vegetables. It is important in these difficult times for them to have something positive to focus on and to allow them to remain in touch with the organisers at Spectrum WASP.
