The Jubilee-athon returns to Jubilee Swimming Pool in Knowle for 2024! A group of hardy local swimmers (and me) will be attempting to swim the equivalent of London to Paris across 24 hours on 5th and 6th October, to raise funds for some vital maintenance works at the pool. I will be attempting to swim as many lengths as I can between 6am and 8am on Sunday 6th October, with my 7 year-old son Max joining me for the second hour between 7am and 8am. Please give generously to us both!

Jubilee Swimming Pool is a historic swimming baths that provides a vital service to residents across South Bristol. In 2022 the pool was saved from closure by a group of passionate volunteers who brought the facility into community ownership from Bristol City Council. While the subsequent Community Asset Transfer (CAT) was a unique event and meant the pool could continue to operate, it now requires important fundraising in order to help modernise the facility. All donations will go directly towards a number of key initiatives, including fixing the pool roof and bringing solar panels onto site.
