So I retired from work planning a relaxing life and ended up as a Trustee helping to run a swimming Pool!!

Jubilee Pool is the first community run Pool in Bristol. It was saved from closure by Bristol City Council and transferred to the charity Friends of Jubilee Pool in October 2022. The local community is very vibrant and are strong supporters of the Pool which offers lane swims, leisure swims, aquafit, swimming lessons, rookie lifeguard sessions for young people, inflatable and family swims, school and swimming club bookings and a small gym. Generations of families have learned to swim and enjoy the pool.

I, and many others, put a lot of hours into saving and securing the Pool and Gym for future generations and we need to do a lot of fundraising not only to cover our operational costs but also to undertake major building repairs.
