IN RESPONSE TO REFUGEE WEEK 2020, KAYLEIGH AND MEGAN HAVE DECIDED TO HOLD A 24-HOUR-SPONSORED-STAY-ON-THE-TRAMPOLINE-ATHON - AND THEY NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
After watching a TEDX Interview with Sarah Mardini, who talked about being a refugee and the difficulties facing humanitarians who try to help them, Kayleigh and Megan wanted to do something to help - so they're holding a sponsored event where they will attempt to stay on their trampoline for 24 hours. They (probably) won't spend the entire 24 hours bouncing, but they will eat on there, drink on there, sleep out on there - do pretty much everything on there bar toilet breaks.
This may sound like a lot of fun, but when you think about it, it's pretty hard!
We're aiming to do it around the 22nd/23rd June while the weather looks good, and will post plenty of updates on their parents' Facebook for sponsors to follow their progress.
They've chosen to raise funds for BIASAN in Bradford because of all the great work they do with refugees and asylum seekers in our city.
Kayleigh says, "I'm doing this because I want refugees to have a safe place to live. Please sponsor us because we want refugees to feel welcome and safe!"
Megan says, "I think it will be fun but I'm worried because I think I might get bored. Please sponsor us because it's for a really good cause!"
Thanks for your support!
